SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to inaugurate direct nonstop flights connecting Sharjah and Gdansk starting December 14, 2026, marking a significant step in strengthening links between the UAE and northern Poland. The airline will offer five weekly flights between Sharjah International Airport and Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport. Flights are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, providing Polish travelers in the Pomeranian region with a direct route to Sharjah.

On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs from Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arrives in Gdansk at 8 p.m., while G9 0629 departs Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and reaches Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following morning. The flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will leave Sharjah at 8:15 a.m., with return services departing Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and arriving in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m.
With the addition of Gdansk, Air Arabia will have four destinations in Poland from its Sharjah base, following the carrier’s December expansion. Currently, the airline serves Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport, and it will commence flights to Katowice on December 17, 2026, three days after the Gdansk route launch. The Katowice service will operate four times per week, further broadening the airline’s Polish route network.
Gdansk enhances direct connectivity with northern Poland
The new route to Gdansk introduces a Baltic Sea coast destination into Air Arabia’s European network from Sharjah. The airline already maintains routes to major European cities such as Athens, Vienna, Prague, Milan, Munich, Rome, and London Gatwick. Gdansk Airport serves the broader Tri-City area, including Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, along with other northern regions of Poland. It offers both domestic and international connections suitable for leisure and business travelers across the area.
Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali emphasized that the Gdansk route will bolster the airline’s presence in Poland. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, highlighted the importance of the direct link between the Pomeranian region and the UAE. The airport has identified Sharjah as a transfer hub for onward travel to destinations in India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Consequently, passengers from Gdansk will be able to connect seamlessly to Air Arabia’s extensive network through its hub in Sharjah.
Scheduled debut of five weekly flights planned for December
Air Arabia’s fleet, comprising Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, is ready for the upcoming routes, and bookings are now open for the Gdansk service. The airline lists flight G9 0628 for departures from Sharjah on Mondays and Saturdays, with G9 0629 returning from Gdansk. Services on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will be operated using flights G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. All schedules are based on local times, and the route will be operated nonstop in both directions.
The launch on December 14 will extend Air Arabia’s direct Poland network just before the airline starts its Katowice route. With current services to Krakow and Warsaw, the addition of Gdansk and Katowice will bring the airline’s Polish destinations from Sharjah to four. Gdansk will see five flights per week, while Katowice will operate four times weekly, based on the announced schedules. Air Arabia confirms the start date and five-flight weekly schedule for Gdansk as set for December 2026.
