MENLO PARK, CALIFORNIA / RankWire.AI / – Meta has unveiled the new Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, a series of sophisticated artificial intelligence models aimed at supporting software creation, AI agents, and complex routine activities. These systems are designed to assist with tasks such as managing leases, processing insurance claims, handling financial data, and developing applications. Meta launched Muse Wonder via its Model API and Muse Code on October 12, with Muse Wonder Full becoming accessible to users holding eligible Muse Code subscriptions.

The focus of these models is on multi-step tasks rather than simple, one-answer problems. Muse Wonder can strategize, utilize digital tools, and break down large projects into smaller, specialized sub-agents. It operates seamlessly across browsers, desktop platforms, and mobile devices. Meta built the system to be resilient, capable of recovering when a chosen approach encounters failure. Supporting context windows of roughly one million tokens, the models can handle large documents, extensive codebases, and other sizable materials within a single session.
Meta also introduced features called Active Memory and Active Focus alongside the Wonder models. Active Memory stores relevant details from earlier interactions and retrieves them as needed. Active Focus enables an AI agent to persist through challenging problems and adapt its approach after encountering errors. The models can ask for clarification when instructions lack critical details and seek confirmation before executing sensitive or significant actions. These enhancements aim to facilitate longer working periods without forcing users to restart tasks repeatedly.
New AI models expand Meta’s capabilities in automation and coding
Pricing for Muse Wonder is set at $4 per million input tokens via the Meta Model API. Output costs are $20 per million tokens, while cached input is priced at $0.20 per million tokens. Instead of separate API charges, Meta offers Muse Wonder Full through paid Muse Code plans, including a Power Usage plan at $50 monthly. The Maximum Usage plan, costing $200 per month, is tailored for developers requiring higher access for intensive coding tasks.
Meta shared benchmark results that assess the models’ performance in software engineering, coding, and long-term technical projects. The tests included evaluations like DeepSWE and SWE-Marathon, with Artificial Analysis also testing the models at maximum reasoning effort. Muse Wonder received an Intelligence Index score of 52, while Muse Wonder Full scored 56. These outcomes surpass Meta’s earlier Muse Spark models on the evaluator’s scale, indicating a clear improvement in reasoning capabilities during testing.
Safety protocols and privacy protections accompany the rollout
Meta states that the Wonder models incorporate safeguards to protect privacy, prevent harmful requests, and ensure cybersecurity. They are trained to avoid revealing private information without user approval and to decline requests involving malicious activities, while still supporting legitimate security functions. Developers can leverage the models to identify vulnerabilities in their own software and enhance security measures. Meta is evaluating its most advanced AI systems under its Superintelligence Scaling Framework and plans to release further details about safety testing for these new models.
This launch follows a major restructuring of Meta’s AI initiatives that began approximately 14 months prior. The company notes that Muse Wonder builds upon the technical groundwork laid by Muse Spark. Development of the new models utilized computing resources at Meta’s Prometheus data center. Plans are underway to incorporate Muse Wonder’s technology into additional features within the Muse ecosystem, starting with subscribers. Currently, developers can access Muse Wonder, while Muse Wonder Full remains available through qualifying Muse Code subscription plans.
