RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to resume its daily nonstop flights between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode starting October 16, 2026. This route reestablishes a direct connection between the UAE emirate and the southern Indian state of Kerala. Tickets are already available via the airline’s sales outlets. The route will link Ras Al Khaimah International Airport with Kozhikode International Airport. The airline announced the resumption on October 6.

This daily service provides travelers with an additional direct route between the UAE and India. Kozhikode, also known as Calicut, is an important city along Kerala’s Malabar Coast. The announcement did not specify departure or arrival times, nor did it identify the aircraft type planned for the restarted flights. Air Arabia has not disclosed flight numbers for the October launch, but travelers can review current schedules when making bookings.
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the route’s return. He highlighted that the daily flights would facilitate convenient connectivity between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode. The airline also pointed out the strong travel demand between these two locations. The announcement focused on the route’s connectivity, frequency, and confirmed restart date, but did not include passenger projections or traffic estimates. No additional operational adjustments were announced alongside the route resumption.
Expanding Ras Al Khaimah’s International Flight Network
The reinstated Kozhikode route will complement several other international destinations served from Ras Al Khaimah. Currently, Air Arabia offers nonstop flights to Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar from the emirate. Kozhikode will rejoin this network from October 16. The airline commenced operations from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in May 2014, and since then, the emirate has remained one of its operational bases in the UAE.
The Kozhikode service originally launched on November 22, 2023, with a schedule of three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. These flights operated with Airbus A320 aircraft, under flight numbers G9 728 and G9 729. The new schedule will increase the frequency to daily flights, although the airline has not confirmed whether the previous flight numbers will be reused or the exact operating times for the resumed service.
Tickets Available for October 16 Resumption
Passengers can purchase tickets via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agencies, with these options confirmed alongside the route announcement. The airline did not specify when the original Kozhikode service was discontinued or the reason for the interruption. Details such as starting fares and aircraft assignments were not provided. The only confirmed information includes the destination pair, the daily frequency, and the October 16 start date.
This route revival restores a nonstop connection between Ras Al Khaimah and Kerala nearly three years after its initial launch. The service will now operate daily, replacing the previous schedule of three flights per week, and will connect the airports directly without stops. Travelers looking for specific flight times, fares, or flight numbers should consult current booking information before traveling. Air Arabia has not announced any further changes to the Kozhikode route beyond the daily restart.
