SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia will commence direct flights from Sharjah International Airport to Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. The airline plans to operate this route four times each week, creating an additional direct link between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia connects Sharjah with Queen Alia International Airport, providing passengers with access to both of Amman’s airports. The new flights are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Flight G9 169 will leave Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrive in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time, while the return flight G9 170 departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and reaches Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Reservations for the new service are now available via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agency network. The route was announced on October 8, more than a month ahead of the inaugural flight.
The addition of the Sharjah route broadens Air Arabia Group’s existing operations in Jordan, where it already serves Amman from Abu Dhabi and Alexandria. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi connects Zayed International Airport with both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. The group also operates direct flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. This new service from Sharjah offers travelers an extra departure point for journeys to Jordan’s capital.
Second Jordanian Airport Joins Sharjah Network
Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, highlighted that the new service provides travelers with an additional airport option in Amman. He emphasized that the route will enhance convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between Jordan and the UAE. The airline will continue its existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, making Amman City Airport a second gateway in Jordan for Air Arabia flights from Sharjah.
Earlier in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched flights to Amman City Airport. The service started on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. Before adding the second Amman airport, Abu Dhabi flights already served Queen Alia International Airport. At that time, Air Arabia announced that the expanded Abu Dhabi schedule offered 10 weekly flights to Amman. The new Sharjah route will extend this dual-airport model to the emirate of Sharjah.
Four Weekly Flights Boost UAE-Jordan Flight Network
The upcoming flights from Sharjah will be operated under the G9 169 and G9 170 service codes, as per the published schedule. Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. Passengers can enjoy SkyTime entertainment, onboard meals through SkyCafe, and earn rewards via the Air Rewards loyalty program. The airline’s usual sales channels, including its website, will open bookings for the new Amman City Airport flights ahead of their launch in November.
This November service expansion strengthens Air Arabia Group’s route network connecting the UAE and Jordan through multiple bases. Sharjah passengers will have direct access to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi travelers already benefit from flights to both airports via Air Arabia Abu Dhabi. Alexandria also maintains a direct route to Amman City Airport. The new Sharjah service will add four weekly flights to the group’s broader Jordan schedule, further enhancing regional connectivity.
