The event marked the fifth consecutive edition of the global investment platform held in India. The gathering brought together key public and private stakeholders to explore growth opportunities in logistics, food security, advanced manufacturing, financial services, tourism, and artificial intelligence. UAE Ministry of Economy Minister Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri met with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel during the summit. The leaders discussed expanding collaboration between Emirati enterprises and regional industrial hubs in Gujarat. Bin Touq noted that the selection of Ahmedabad underscores the state’s standing as a leading industrial and economic center.

Abdulrahman Mohammed Alhawi, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Investment and President of Investopia, stated that the UAE accounts for over 70 percent of total investment inflows from Gulf Cooperation Council countries into India. Alhawi highlighted that nearly 4,000 new Indian enterprises joined the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in the first quarter of 2026. He noted that the Investopia Dialogues in Ahmedabad serve as a strategic milestone aimed at enabling Indian enterprises to access wider global markets through UAE financial hubs.

Accelerating Capital Flows Across Emerging Industrial Corridors

The commercial impact of the event was underscored by major corporate announcements from regional business leaders. Retail conglomerate LuLu Group announced a 4,000 crore Indian rupee investment project in Ahmedabad. Chairman Yusuff Ali M.A. revealed plans for a development spanning 21 acres featuring a shopping mall, a five-star hotel, and serviced apartments. The project is projected to create more than 15,000 jobs. The group is also initiating a food park and a fish-processing plant.

Representatives from Marjan Developers highlighted the growing participation of Indian investors in real estate and hospitality projects. Chief Executive Officer Sheikh Saqr bin Omar Al Qasimi stated that Indian capital plays a vital role in transforming Ras Al Khaimah into an international destination. Meanwhile, executives from agribusiness firm Silal Group, including Chief Executive Officer Dhafer Al Qasimi, joined sector roundtables to evaluate modern agriculture, cold-chain infrastructure, and supply chain resilience.

Expanding Private Sector Partnerships and Digital Infrastructure

Strategic panel sessions at the summit examined the role of sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and private equity in financing large-scale infrastructure. Participants addressed measures to streamline regulatory frameworks to encourage capital movement into high-return sectors. Discussions on technology transfer centered on building digital infrastructure and accelerating artificial intelligence adoption across manufacturing networks. The sessions aimed to improve the overall competitiveness of both economies in knowledge-based industries.

The event concluded with multiple bilateral meetings intended to finalize institutional agreements between participating organizations. Organizers stated that the platform will continue hosting global dialogues in key international markets to align private investments with long-term macroeconomic objectives. By focusing on trade infrastructure, industrial technology, and joint ventures, the Investopia Dialogues initiative continues to establish predictable investment channels supporting global economic development.
